Environmental & Surface Drug Testing

Concerned about drug use in your home, business, or school environment? Worried about drug use around a child or infant in your ex-husband’s or ex-wife’s home?

In most cases, a hair drug test can be used to detect exposure to drugs around an infant or child. Even if drugs are only “in the air” or have been contacted on surfaces, children can still be exposed to dangerous substances. We offer Exposure Hair Testing, which can reveal external exposure in an unsafe environment!

  • The environmental surface drug test wipes that Transmetron utilizes are leaders in on-site drug residue detection.
  • The methods Transmetron uses are the same methods employed by law enforcement officers, customs agents, and investigators.
  • Our drug wipes maintain 100% accuracy, according to a simulated surface field test study.

Wiping a simple drug test strip over a surface is all it takes to get instant results. The surface drug test is divided into several segments, each of which detects a different substance.

Please note that drug test results from substance or surface tests provide approximate drug identification. For legal results, samples must be sent to a specialized laboratory for confirmation. You can also purchase your own Substance and Surface Drug Test Kit for convenient at-home surface drug testing. These surface residue drug tests are particularly effective for detecting meth labs—whether you’re wondering if your house was previously used as a meth lab, don’t guess—know for sure! How To Test A Surface For Drugs

If you suspect that a surface may be contaminated with drugs, there are several ways to test for their presence. These methods range from using readily available household items to purchasing specialized surface drug testing kits.

Household Items

One easy and inexpensive way to test a surface for drugs is by using household items such as bleach, vinegar, or hydrogen peroxide. Simply mix equal parts of the substance with water and apply it onto a small area of the surface. If the solution starts bubbling or changes color, it could be an indication of drug residue.

Another method is by using a blacklight. Some drugs, particularly cocaine and methamphetamine, will fluoresce under UV light. This method may not be as accurate as other drug surface testing methods, but it can still provide some insight into potential drug usage on a surface.

Professional Drug Detection Kits

For a more thorough and reliable surface drug test, professional drug detection kits are available for purchase. These kits typically come with multiple tests for different types of drugs, such as cocaine, marijuana, and opiates.

The most common type of professional drug detection kit is the urine test. This involves collecting a sample of urine and using the kit’s included strips to test for various drugs. The results are usually visible within minutes.

Other types of professional drug detection kits include hair follicle tests and saliva tests. Hair follicle tests can detect drug usage over a longer period of time, as traces of drugs can remain in hair for several months. Saliva tests are often used for immediate on-site testing, as they can provide results within a few minutes.

In addition to the physical components of the kit, professional drug detection kits also come with detailed instructions and information on how to interpret the results correctly. This is important as improper interpretation could lead to false positives or negatives.
